Johnny Lee Campbell,75 of Bennettsville, SC departed this earthly life on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital High Point, NC.
He was born June 5, 1948, to the late Joe and Rosa Lee Campbell of Bennettsville, SC. Johnny attended Marlboro County School System.
He later relocated to High Point, NC where he was a machine operator at Highland Yarn Mills for 30 years.
Johnny was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a loyal church member under the leadership of the late Dwan B. Phifer-Prayer on Wheels Evangelistic Ministries Worldwide.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Rosa Lee Campbell and mother-in-law, Minnie Joe McFadden; his siblings; Joann, Shirley, Frank, and Gregory Campbell; in-laws, Helen Campbell, Billy McFadden, JoAnn Thompson, and Jimmy McFadden.
Johnny leaves behind his fond memories of his lovely wife of 54 years, Dorothy Campbell of High Point, NC; his children, Rev. Melanie (William) Douglas, Johnny (Susan) Lee Campbell Jr., Maria Campbell, Nakia (Larry) Davis, and Renetta (Keith) McDuffie; brothers, William (Ann) and Roosevelt Campbell of Brooklyn, NY, Michael, James, and Calvin Campbell; sisters, Edgenora, Diane, Dorothy, and Iris Campbell all of Bennettsville, SC; his lovely aunt, Lucille Harrison; sisters-in-law, Sarah McFadden and Brenda (Larry) Carmichael. Johnny had twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
