Johnnie Mae Freeman

MRS. JOHNNIE MAE FREEMAN was born on March 11, 1947, in High Point, North Carolina. she was a daughter of Mr. John and Annie Bell Murphy Thompson. The earthly life of Johnnie Mae came to a close on Tuesday morning, September 13, 2022. Johnnie Mae graduated from William Penn High School, and she later obtained a degree in Psychology from Shaw University. She owned and operated Freeman’s Home Daycare for over a decade. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Johnnie Mae had unconditional love for her husband and family. While her physical presence will no longer be with us, her spiritual presence will truly remain in our hearts and memory. We feel without a doubt that she is in the slumberland where she has been restored to perfect health. There she will await our coming where we journey to join her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. John and Annie Bell Murphy Thompson; one daughter, Zenobia Freeman; and a grandson, Ryan White; and four siblings, Jerry Thompson, Mary Thompson, Juanita Dorsett, and Ernestine Johnson. Precious memories shall be cherished by her husband, Mr. Billy Freeman, Sr., of the home; four sons, Billy Freeman, Jr., Ryan Hunt, Ron Hunt, and Rico Hunt, all of High Point, NC; three daughters, Tiffany Cunningham, Erika Hunt, and Alexis Hunt, all of the home; two brothers, Mr. Willie Edward Thompson of San Antonio, TX, and Clinton Thompson of SC; four grandchildren, Marquest, Rico, Heaven, and Carter; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
