Jauhan Shontay Bethea, age 34 of High Point passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born July 18, 1981 in High Point to Deloris Bethea and Melvin Dow.
He attended Guilford Technical Community College and received his certification in Upholstery. Jauhan was a former employee of Piedmont Works Inc.
Jauhan had a special love for fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. He touched many lives with his kindness.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Courtney Bethea; maternal grandmother, Lottie Bethea, maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Bethea; paternal grandmother, Marie Dow; paternal grandfather, Andrew Dow; two aunts, Margaret Legrande and Sara Smith; one uncle, David Dow.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his beloved parents, Deloris Bethea and Melvin Dow both of High Point; four children, Jakiya Bethea, Xzavier Townsend, Isaiah Bethea and Jauhan Bethea Jr. all of High Point; a special friend, Detrea Moore of High Point; two sisters, Keisha Alston of Greensboro, and Gwendolyn Cartwright of Upper Marlboro, MD; two brothers, Jermaine Alston of Wadesboro, NC and Merchello Alford of High Point; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends,
