Mrs. Janie Mae Bethea Ervin, 83 years old of High Point, NC departed this earthly on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at her home. She was born in Marion County, SC to the late George Bethea and Frances Rose Bethea.
Janie was educated in Marlboro County Schools.
Janie was married to the late John Ervin for 45 years. She was a member of Baldwin’s Chapel SDA Church where she served in many capacities, such as, Deaconess, community service, prison ministry, pathfinders, and usher committee. She worked for Slane Hosiery Mill for many years.
In addition to her parents and her husban, Janie was also preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.
Janie leaves to cherish her memories to six children; Ella Ervin, John Willie Ervin, Johnny Ervin, Diane Waddell, Curtis Ervin and Timothy Ervin all of High Point, NC; 27 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Elizabeth Dixon and Margaret (Eugene) Jacob all of Dillon, SC; one brother, Lee Bethea of the home; one sister-in-law, Ethel Campbell of Virginia Beach and a special friend, Robert Dennis of High Point, NC; a nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
