James Edward Brannon "aka" "Eddie", 69 of High Point, NC, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. He was born to Berta Mae Traynham Brannon and Allen F. Brannon in Davidson County, NC, on April 1, 1956. He graduated from Ledford High School in Thomasville, NC. He was a self-made entrepreneur, known by many, he was good with his hands, a contractor, good at farming, a very talented artist, who loved making things for people and making people laugh, he was very creative arts and craft designer, and he loved fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Howard and Ellen Traynham, a daughter, Stacy Nicole Brannon Williams, one brother, Samuel F. Brannon, a sister, Bertha Ann Brannon Cook, his brother-in-law, Willie Cook Jr and Douglas Gadson, a close uncle, Jimmie Lee Traynham, fishing buddy and nephew, Christopher Council.
He is survived by his three children, one son, Derrick Brannon Wilson, two daughters, Taneshia "Poda" Rorie and Latoya Brannon, a loving sister, Kathy Gadson, sister-in-law, Ann Brannon, son-in-law, Terry "TT" Williams, grandchildren, Kaylen Hutchins, Ashley Newson, Jakiyah Morgan, Indya Davis, Audrey Rorie, Derrick Wilson Jr., Nosha Wilson, great grandchildren, Skylan Newson, Jamari Morgan, Royce Roberts, nieces, Lequinta Counsil, Kimberly (Ronnie) Jordan, Nkenge "Missy" (Jerry) Carter, Samantha Brannon (James) Pickett, nephew, Je'rez Posey, Mary Cridlebaugh, a special friend he worked with for eleven years and a host of great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
