Mr. James Bethea Jr., of High Point, NC, was born on March 18, 1939, in Dillon SC to the late James Rueben and Margaret Wright Bethea.
James was employed at Southern Die Casting for 35 years and he enjoyed fishing, cutting grass and spending time with his family.
He was a great father, grandfather, rother, uncle and friend but among all things he was the greatest companion to his loving wife of 58 years Mrs. Senter Lee Bethea, whom he loved and admired. He was a member of Vision of Faith Apostolic Church in High Point. He became a baptized believer in 1990 and became a deacon at his church and a devoted God-fearing man. He was a mighty prayer warrior and always put others first even unto his death.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his children, Wanda, James "Bo" and Lisa Bethea., six siblings, Archie, George, Lottie, Edward, Eddie Mae and Mary. Five sisters-in-laws and eight brothers-in-law.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife and devoted wife of 58 years, Senter Lee Bethea, of the home, three children; Richard (Jennie) Bethea of High Point, NC, Willie Edward (Bunnie) of Atlanta, GA and Shirley Bethea of High Point, one brother, John (Ida) Bethea, one sister Shirley (Artis) Nicholson both of High Point, NC., sisters-in-laws, Lanase Hope of High Point, NC., Bethea (Ted) Alford, Doretha Bildon and Barbara Bethea all of Dillon, SC, ten grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one honorary daughter, tammy Warren, one honorary son, Deacon Ronnie Scales and one very special granddaughter, whom he raised as his own, his caregiver, Lashelle Bethea and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
