Iola Fant

January 3, 1945 — February 6, 2021

Iola Ezell Gyant Fant was born on January 3, 1945, in Cordale, GA to the late Charlie C. Ezell and Leola Middlebrooks Ezell Saulter. She resided in High Point,NC.

"Ola" as she was fondly known to many slept away peacefully on Saturday, February , 2021, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Ola was a very dedicated and active member of Bethany Baptist Church under the leadership of her "pastor/cousin", Reverened Ronnie Middlebrooks. She was also active and involved with High Point Pointers Club and her William Penn Class of "1962." She loved cooking and spending time with her family. Despite the decline in her health she continued to have the will-power to continue in this race called life.

In addition to her parents she was preceded inn death by four brothers; Bobby Ezell, Stephen Saulter, Willie Ezell and Curtis Ezell.

Memories will be cherished by her children;Tonita Gyant Foxx and Napoleon Gyant Jr, both of High Point, NC; Five sisters; Avis S. Nelson, Wanda D. Saulter, both of High Point, NC; Ernestine Jackson, Gloria Gordon and Donalene (Sammie) Mosley all of Georgia. A very special cousin who was more like a sister; Valerie Marshall Taylor of Washington State. Five brothers; Gary Kimikia) Ezell, James C. Saulter Jr; Jeffrey (Kim) Saulter all of High Point, NC, Sonny (Sylvia) Jackson of FL and Charlie C. Ezell Jr. of GA.. Five grandchildren; Latisha (Ricky) Counts, Ryan McKiver, Devin Gyant, Devon Gyant and Ebony Gyant. Nine great grandhildren; Four aunts; Jessie A. Ezell, Mable Hillmon, Inez Hillmon all of Georgia and Sarah Middlebrooks of High Point, NC whom she adored as her second mom. A host of nieces, nephews, many very close cousins and in-laws and other relatives and friends.

Ola was everybody's "big sister" and she will be greatly missed.
