India Frances Anderson, 48 of High Point departed this earthly life on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at her residence. She was born March 10, 1971 in Newark, NJ to LaVilla Anderson and Clarence Bride.
“Mama Sara”, as she was called, graduated from High Point Central High School. After high school she entered in Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC and later transferred to North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and was working towards her Master's degree at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. India was currently employed with AT&T Company for over 15 years. She displayed the gifts of honesty, loyalty and trust. India believed her efforts would make a difference in the lives of other people. For many years, India’s selfless life of service shaped our family and community, carrying forth her transformative spirit into the wider world. She was a woman who believed in things not seen, someone who imagined better days off in the distance, a woman of service who persevered despite the odds.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Brydie; her sister, Tiyunna Thompson; her maternal grandfather, Robert “Handy Andy” Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her memories and smiles to her mother of the home, Lavilla “Sissy” Anderson; four brothers, Sean Anderson and Tyrone Anderson both of Charlotte, NC, William Anderson of Lexington, NC and Cho-Son “Spud” Anderson of Newark, NJ; one sister, Graceinea Anderson of High Point, NC; maternal grandmother, Lucille Anderson of High Point, NC; a host of other relatives and friends.
