Howard Williams

Mr. Howard Williams of High Point transitioned from earth to glory on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, while surrounded by his family.

Howard was born June 22, 1940, in Dillon, SC to the late Dixie Williams and Bertha Watson.

He relocated to High Point, NC and worked as a supervisor until retirement.   He married Minnie Parson in December 1967. Howard was a faithful member of Solid Rock Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee until his health declined.   

Howard’s favorite hobby and passion was golfing. 

Howard was preceded in death by six siblings, Richard Williams, Roger Williams, Henry Williams, Melvin Bell, Louise Watson and Libby Williams: one grandson, Maurice “Boss” Hagler. 

Howard loved his wife of 57 years, Minnie Parson Williams of the home and she took care of him until he transitioned.  Howard also leaves loving memories to his boys, Donald Ray, David, Ronnie and Timothy and his only daughter, Shirley Townsend; grandchildren, Deonna, Amanda, and Shandarin; his siblings, William Watson of Wallace, NC, Bernice Townsend, Hazel Williams, Eunice Jenkins, and Pearline Townsend; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
