Haroon "Andrew" James Banglo, 25 years old departed this earthly life on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. He was born on December 28, 1993, in Khartoum, Sudan to James Banglo and Marlen Ambwa.
In 2002, the Banglo family moved to Baltimore, Maryland from Egypt, where he attended Leith Walk Elementary School. In 2005, his family relocated to Jamestown, NC where he attended Jamestown Middle School and Ragsdale High School. Haroon enrolled in Winston Salem State University after graduating from high school majoring in computer engineering. Haroon always dreamed of one day becoming a computer engineer. Due to some circumstances, Haroon did not complete his studies at Winston Salem State. He received a certificate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to be an HVAC technician and worked for a few months before moving back to Jamestown. He had plans on returning to school in the fall of 2019 and completing his computer engineering degree. Haroon will always be remembered for his talent on the football field and his love for sports. He played varsity football while attending Ragsdale High School where he also maintained a social life. He had a one-of-a-kind personality, and his smile could light up any room. His laugh was very contagious and could cure anything. He had a very generous heart and loved his family dearly.
He made the best out of every situation and lived for brighter days ahead. Haroon leaves to cherish his memories: his mother and father, James Banglo and Merlen Ambwa; his older sister, Penina Banglo; young brother, Georage Banglo; younger sister, Minallha Banglo; his maternal grandmother and paternal grandfather; and many other relatives and friends.
