Gwendolyn Rivers

Gwendolyn Joyce Rivers, Age 67, of Trinity, NC departed this earthly life on Monday, June 7, 2021, in High Point, NC.

She was born on November 6, 1953, to the late Hardie and Catherine Rivers.

She was a graduate of Trinity High School, class of 1972. Gwen was a faithful and committed employee with Design Concepts, Inc, for more than 20 years.

Gwen, as she was affectionately called, was a devoted and loving person to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shatina Renee Rivers, a niece, Alicia McCluney and a great niece, Michelle Rivers.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four sisters, Catherine Haney, Josephine Crawford and Yvonne (Ricky) McCluney, all of High Point, NC and Evangelist Lenora (Bishop Greg) Bennett of Wadesboro, NC, four brothers, Joseph (Wanda) Rivers of Kernersville, NC, Gaines (Pamela) Rivers of High Point, NC, Tony (Gretchen) Rivers of Greensboro, NC and Ronald (Michelle) Rivers, two very special friends, more like sisters, Monzel Cameron of Cameron, NC and Diane Alston of High Point, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She also leaves to cherish her memories, her godson, Josiah Baldwin and we all knew Gwen had a special love for children and all children loved her.
