Gwendolyn Marsh

On January 4, 2020, Gwendolyn A. Marsh entered into eternal rest.  She was born, June 18, 1953 in Aberdeen, NC to the late William and Mable Marsh.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Marsh and sister, Derema Marsh.

Gwen graduated from Pine Crest High School in Southern Pines, NC.  She attended Sandhill Community College and received her CNA Certificate.  She worked as a CNA in High Point, NC until her health began to fail her.

Left to cherish loving memories are: her son, Lawerence Marsh of Aberdeen, NC; one grandson, Anthony Drakeford; one great-grandson, Amaari Drakeford of Aberdeen, NC; Long-time companion Doug Hope; a host of children and grandchildren that she raised; two sisters, Joyce Verbal of High Point, NC and Barbara Marsh of Morrow, GA; one nephew, Brian(Tammie) Sellers of Atlanta, GA; three nieces, Helen(Christopher) Gladney, of High Point, NC; Sabrina Marsh, Angela McFadden of Aberdeen, NC; a host of great-nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; two special sisters, Sylvia Shannon and Mary Boone; special friends, Darlene Terry, Renee Torrence, Brenda Torrence and Margie Chambers.
