MS. GWENDOLYN FRANCIES gained her heavenly wings on Friday, October 7, 2022. She was born on July 14, 1959, in High Point, North Carolina. Gwendolyn was adopted and raised by the late Christine and George Francies, and then resided in Boston, Massachusetts. She was a graduate of South Boston High School in South Boston, Massachusetts. Gwendolyn served in the United States Army from 1977 to 1979 with honors. She relocated back to High Point, North Carolina, in 1991. Gwendolyn worked as a nurse aide for many years, which she loved to do. Gwendolyn was a member of Another Chance Minister under Bishop Fletcher Little. She later joined and served as the usher board leader. She was also very active in fundraising for her church. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her two sons, Marcus Francies and Travis (Tasha) Francies of High Point, North Carolina; a loving and close friend, Todd Black; sisters, Windean (Linwood) Justice, Ethel (James) Gelzer, Emma Bradley, Julia (Henderson) Blue, Margaret (Roosevelt) Dukes, Daisy (Darrell) Quick, Lucille Ingram, Thelishia Dye, Marie (Rudy) Mitchell, Gladys (James) Glover, Alecia (Willie Jr.) Marshall of High Point, North Carolina; brothers, Bennie (Sharon) Mock, Ronnie Shaw, Johnny Mock, and Willie Floyd Marshall; ten grandchildren; a special nephew, James Gelzer; a close and special friend, Christine Malachi; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
