Gary Eleby Jr.

Gary Eleby, 75, entered eternal rest on Monday, February 10, 2025. He was born in Roland, NC on July 23, 1949 to the late Gary Eleby Sr and Maggie Eleby.

Gary was raised and educated in High Point, NC. He worked for Flowers Bakery and Carolina Springs where he met Fannie Walls, whom he married. Gary was also a truck driver for many years. Gary and Fannie were married for 50 years. During that time they raised a host of foster children that loved them and always kept in contact as they grew older. 

Gary, is survived by his sons, Gary (Linda) Brooks of High Point, NC and Kenny (Patricia) Brooks of Thomasville, NC, his daughters, Lisa Walls of High Point, NC and Tracy (Michael) Hawkins of High Point, NC, his grandchildren, Wykena Dumas, Raquel Moore, RayQuan Kennedy, Brioanna Sanderson and Jamarius Matier, and his great grandchildren, Jeovanni Fuller, Storm Fuller and Skye Fuller. He also leaves behind his siblings. James (Nancy) Eleby, Lee (Diane) Eleby, Barbara Hunter and Beatrice Little, his sister in laws, Betty Price-Burris and Jacqueline Walls, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Gary was predeceased by his wife, Fannie Eleby, siblings, Archie Eleby, Nancy Eleby, Johnnie Eleby, Mary (Thomas) McLean, Vera Ibeawuchi, his mother Maggie Davis, his father, Gary Eleby Sr. and his brothers-in-law, Samuel Walls, Jr. and James Walls
