Mrs. Frenchie Denise Armstrong Rainey, 54, of High Point, NC, was called home to live with her Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born on August 10, 1956, in High Point, NC, to Johnny Cypress Armstrong and Lizzie Allen Armstrong. Frenchie graduated from High Point Central High School in 1975. She was a former employee with the High Point Enterprise and often worked at the voting polls during elections. Frenchie tool great pride in contributing to the community and enjoyed giving a positive greeting to everyone she encountered. She was an active and faithful member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and delighted in serving as the Choir Director for the Spiritual Choir, singing on the Mass Choir and serving on the Usher Board.
She was predeceased by her father, Johnny Cypress Armstrong; one sister, Gilda A. Bishop; grandmothers, Blondie Allen and Beulah Kelly; great nephew, Jaden Armstrong.
Frenchie leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories to her daughter, Candice Armstrong of the home; one son, Johnny C. Armstrong II of High Point, NC, her mother, Lizzie Armstrong of the home; three sisters, Chiquita Bridges of Greensboro, NC, Johnette Brown and Crystal Albert both of High Point, NC; two uncles, Clarence Gould of High Point, NC and Johnny Swiney of Bronx, NY; two nephews, Rickey and Jermaine Armstrong; five nieces, Tamekia, Eugenia and Lushuana Armstrong, Nakia Bridges and Brianca Brach, others who will miss her but treasure her loving kindness are James, Rainey, Ray York, Tom Hughes and Virginia Payne; host of cousins, other relatives and friends, although not named but were a very special part of her life.
