Mrs. Frances Virginia Quick Rhodes, 62 of High Point, NC departed this earthly life on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Libertywood Nursing Center in Thomasville, NC while surrounded by her sisters and nieces.
She was born on July 29, 1950, in Marlboro County, SC, the daughter of the late Amos Quick Sr. and Pecolia Peguese Quick.
Frances was a resident of High Point, NC for 60 years. She graduated from William Penn High School in 1968 and later retired from Amos Hosiery Mills. On October 12, 1973, she was united in marriage to Herman Rhodes. Frances was a loving mother and showed her zest for life with her daughter. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be missed greatly.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Rhodes and a daughter, Starvina Quick.
Left the cherish her memories includes three sons, Lamont Quick, Derrick Rhodes both of High Point, NC and Deacon “Gebre Selassie” Anthony (Sintayehu) Quick of Ethopia, Africa; three grandchildren, Ashlei Williamson of High Point, NC, Mya Nicole Quick of Monroe, NC and Kidest Quick of Ethopia, Africa; two brothers, Amos Quick Jr. of Milton, FL and Bruce Quick of High Point, NC; four sisters, Maggie (Donald) McDowell, Mel (Glen) Bates, Nadine (Patrick) Milton all of High Point, NC and Star (Ronald) Daughtridge of Jamestown, NC; uncle, Freddie (Betty) Peguese of High Point, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
