Frances Horne

Frances Ledbetter Horne, 88 years old, departed this life on Thursday, November 8, 2018.  She was one of seven children born to the late Charlie and Lucy Ledbetter on October 4, 1930 in Richmond County, NC.

She attended the Richmond County school system.  Frances was a previous member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she sang on the gospel choir.  After relocating to Baltimore, MD, she was employed in the food service industry and later retire from Fidelity and Deposit Company in Maryland.

Frances was married to the late Sylvester Horne, and from this union six children were born.  She was a loving and caring woman of God who touched many people with her kind spirit.

In addition to her parents and late husband, Frances was also preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Jean and six siblings; McKinley Ledbetter, Lillie Mae Little, JD Ledbetter, Charlie Lee Ledbetter, Lestine Medley and Margaret Medley.

Frances is survived by her children, Nathaniel Horne, Stella Horne, Patricia Frazier, Emma (Tony) DiBitonto and Michael Horne; thirteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
