Mr. Floyd Grant "F.G." Cobb, 66, of High Point was called to his final resting place on Wednesday, Oct.30,2013 at Hospice Home at High Point.
F.G. was born January 15, 1947 in Dillon, SC to the late Joe and Sadie Rogers Cobb. He was resident of High Point for most of his life. He was married to the late Nellie Cobb and was a member of First Emmanuel Church. He worked for Duke Chemical for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents; two brothers, Joe Cobb Jr. and Curtis Cobb; two sisters, Mary Ann Rogers and Mae Ella Hamilton.; three aunts Anna Rogers Wilson, Sallie Rogers wilson, and Jessie Rogers Ware; one uncle Simmie Rogers; and one nephew Brian Cobb and one great nephew Saquan Rogers
Left to cherish his loving memories are six daughters, Renee (Jim) Taylor, Teresa Cobb, Ann (Johnny) Chandler, Jakisha (Jimmy) Brown, Jakima (Larry) Ledbetter and Mary Williams all of High Point; five brothers, Melvin Cobb, Richard (Harriet) Cobb, Rev. Danny (Linda) Rogers all of High Point, David (Lumia) Cobb of Thomasville and David Davis of Greensboro, five sisters, Daisy (James) Burton, Deborah (Thomas) Anderson, Annie Rogers, Margret Rogers, and Mary Cobb all of High Point; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two aunts; a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at First Emmanuel Baptist Church at 1:30pm with Rev. Campbell, eulogist. Family visitation will begin at 1:00pm at the church.
