Flossie Bethea, 86, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012, at Shannon Gray Nursing Rehabilitation Center. Flossie was born to the late Neil and Selma Alford McArthur on November 10, 1925, in Robeson County, NC.
Flossie was a long-time resident of High Point and was a faithful member of Church of God of Prophecy until her health declined. Sh e participated in the Women's Missionary Circle Group, Missionary Prayer Group and Adult Sunday School class. Flossie was loved by all who knew her. She had a calm spirit with laughter. She was loving, kind and giving person.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James L. Bethea, daughter, Flora Bethea, son, Michael Bethea, granddaughter, Kimberly Loyd, seven sisters and six brothers.
She leaves behind to cherish loving memories, two daughters, Ida Washington and Melanee Bethea, both of High Point, NC. three sons, James (Janie) Bethea, Benjamin (Linda) Bethea of High Point, NC and Paul (Patricia) Bethea of Charlotte, NC, two sisters, Geneva Cole and Dorothy Baker, both of Greensboro, NC, a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, church family and friends
