Emma McFadden, 99, of High Point, NC, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, July 12, 2012, at The Shannon Gray Rehabilitation & Recovery Center.
She was born and raised in Fairmont, NC, on May 15, 1913, to the late Wilbert Britt and Minnie McCollum. After relocating to High Point, NC, she married to her beloved husband, the late Burcham McFadden Sr. for 53 years. She was a loving housewife who dedicated her life to raising her family. Emma was a faithful member of First Emmanuel Baptist Church for many years, and she joined Life Changing International Church.
In addition to her husband, Burcham McFadden Sr., and her parents she was also preceded in death by six children, Patsy McFadden, Dallas McFadden, Burcham McFadden Jr., and Laman McFadden: one brother, Shack McCollum.
Those who remain to cherish her memories includes, her children, Tony (Mary) McFadden of New York, Charles (Daisy) McFadden of Bolton, MS, Mildred Dawkins of Jacksonville, NC and Edna (Harry) Crawford of High Point, NC; her godson, Howard (Minnie) Williams. She also leaves to her loving memories to five generations of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, her granddaughter who loved her dearly and was also her caretaker, Tawanna (Drummon) Stewart of High Point, NC, a host of other relatives and friends, although not named you were very special to her.
