On Monday, March 31, 2014 God sent his angel to recieve Ms. Edith Cooper at High Point Regoinal Cancer Center.
Edith was welcomed into this world by her parents, Mr. James Wille Cooper and Mrs. Bernice McBride Cooper on Janurary 20, 1943 in Marlboro County, SC.
Eva, as she was affectionately called, loved singing and enjoyed her life. She formed the gospel group, The James Cooper Ensemble. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing and she had a great passion for painting.
She was precded in death by her father, James Wille "Candy Boy" Cooper; one brother, Paul D. Cooper and her maternal grandmother, Carrie Williams.
She leaves behind cherished memories to five children Willie ( Eula Mae) Cooper of Hamlet, NC, Tony( Teresa) Cooper of Clayton, NC, Samatha Cooper of the home, Kathy Cooper of High Point, NC; three brothers, Willie( Mattie) Cooper of High Point, NC, Tommy Cooper of Wadesboro, NC and Jerry Cooper of High Point, NC; three sisters, Carrie (Richard) Nixon, Dorothy Ganzy and Barbara Cooper, all of High Point, NC; twenty-fibe grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
