Derrick Brown

Mr. Derrick Lamont Brown, age 38, departed this earthly life on February 18, 2017 at High Point Regional UNC Hospital.  He was born October 5, 1978 to Barbara Brown and Michael Caldwell.

Derrick attended S.W. High School and graduated from Southern Vermont College in Vermont, NY.  He later advanced at UTI Motorcycle MMI Institute in Phoenix, AZ, where he received his license as a motorcycle and auto mechanic.  Derrick had a love for motorcycles.  He was employed with Vann York Auto Mall as an Auto Mechanic.  He enjoyed riding and repairing dirt bikes.

He was preceded in death by his aunt, Sheryl Brown Adjeai.

Leaving to cherish his memories include: his grandmother, who loved him dearly, Mary Wright Brown of the home, his parents, Barbara (Johnny) Williams of Kernersville, NC, and Michael (Panissa) Caldwell of Winston Salem, NC; his much-loved son, Deshawn Brown of High Point, NC; his beloved fiancée, Maria  “Shay” Turner of High Point, NC; siblings, Carlos, Acarsiya, and Sharika Washington, Samantha Valenciano and Sabrina Pendergrass all of High Point NC; god-daughter, D’Aundria Turner; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Darren Turner, Damon Wright, Aaron Gainey, and Michael McCollum.
