David Crawford

Mr. David Edward Crawford 74, of Winston Salem, NC was born on December 4, 1949, to the late Fred and Maebelle Crawford. He was called home Sunday June 30, 2024. David was raised in Winston Salem, NC and graduated from Atkins High School. Afterwards, he joined the US Army. He served in the military during the Vietnam War. Once returning home from the army, he later went on to attend Guilford Technical Community College where he received an Associate Degree in Architectural Technology. David worked at Adams Wood Turning for 13 years. He later retired in 2011. After retiring David enjoyed sudoku puzzles and watching African movies. He loved his grandchildren, and he kept the people around him laughing and smiling. He loved to crack jokes and was wise beyond his years. He was a devoted father and friend. David was preceded in death by his daughter, Natasha Crawford; sister, Annie Crawford; brothers, Willie Johnson, Albert Johnson, Jerry Crawford, Perry Crawford and Fredrick Crawford; granddaughters T’Angela Patterson and Jariyana Pate; grandsons, Corey Patterson, Jaylin Pate, Darien Morrison; and great grandson Kace Medley. Left to cherish his memories includes: his wife, Virginia Crawford of High Point, NC; his daughters, Angel Marshall of High Point, NC; Latasha Morrison of Charlotte, NC; Stephanie Crawford Townes (Lashon) of Thomasville NC, and Brittany Crawford of High Point NC, two sisters, Mary Wilkins and Gwendolyn Roberts of Winston Salem, NC; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephew, nieces and cousins; a close friend of the family Brenice Brown and friends. Also, a special thanks to his caregivers.
