David Adams, Sr.

Mr. David Willie Adams, Sr., age 75, departed this earthly life on December 2, 2020, at Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center. He was born on June 29, 1946, in High Point, NC to the late Willie Douglas and Sultena Adams. He was of the Baptist faith. A resident of High Point, NC most of his life. David joined the United States Army after high school. He received many Certificates of Commendation and Achievement Metals. He received an honorable discharge and retired from the US Armed Forces in June 2006. David was married toi Betty McAuley Adams. He enjoyed his family vacations, especially Morehead City Beach in North Carolina. David was called "Papa" by so many children in the community.

In addition to his parents, David was also preceded in death by two children: David Adams, Jr. and Shearl Gaddy.

He leaves loving memories to his wife of 52 years, Betty Adams of the home. Three children, David Allen of Ohio, Geroid Adams of High Point, NC and Amy (Aaron) Adams-Grier of High Point, NC, Ten grandchildren; Nine great grandchildren; One sister, Phyllis (Albert) McKnight of High Point, NC; One brother, John R. Adams of High Point, NC; Special aunt, Miyako Adams, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
