Mr. Darrell Johnson fondly known as “2 Chanes” 58 of High Point NC, departed this earthly life on Oct. 29,2022. He was born on Oct. 5, 1964, to the late James and Artilla Quick Johnson. Darrell was known for his bold and outgoing spirit and never met a stranger. To know him was to love him and there was never a dull moment when he was around.
Darrell attended Guilford County Schools. He later held a job as a upholster at Kenwood Furniture. He also worked or Lighting Tax Services and Southern Accent Florist. Darrell was popularly known for his comedic personality and always willing to lend a helping hand. You could spot him from a mile away by his cool walk and natural swag.
He was proceeded in death by his parents James and Artilla Quick Johnson. His brother Donnie Johnson. Three sisters Martha Smith, Miranda Johnson and Evelyn Smith Waden. A niece and nephew, Natalie and Kenneth Smith. He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter Lashelle Bethea. Two sons Taderreus (Jessica) Bethea and Darrell (Latonia) Leach all of High Point, NC. His grandchildren Kyriq Steele, Laniyah Harrison, Amari Glenn, Aiyanna Bethea, Taderreus Bethea Jr., Paizlee Bethea, De’ljwan Leach, Jo’el Leach, and Gabriel Leach. A sister Belva Williams of Oaklahoma City. Two brothers Douglas Johnson of Greenville.NC and Derone Johnson of High Point, NC. One uncle June Quick of South Carolina. A host of nieces, nephews, cousin’s relatives and friends. Special friends the Parson Family. Darrell lived his life to the fullest and will be missed by many.
