Curtis Bernard Howze, of High Point, entered in eternal rest on Friday, April 16th, 2021, at the age of 62 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
In his earlier years, Curtis attended High Point City Schools. Wanting to help his family financially, he eventually obtained employment at K&W Cafeteria and later with Baker Janitorial Services, where he worked for many years until retirement. He had a passion for all sports, more importantly, football, basketball, and wrestling, He didn't mind conversing or having a heated disagreement about his "Dallas Cowboys". Although he didn't have a favorite song, everyone knew how much his old vinyl records meant to him.
In recent years, Curtis experienced a decline in his health. However, being the caring and loving person he was, he still looked forward to family functions with all the people he loved, talking about sports to anyone who listened, and going to work (dialysis treatments).
He was preceded in death by his son, Antonio Graham Sr.; his brother, Franklin Howze; and his parents, Franklin and Doris Howze.
Affectionately known as "Uncle Curtis" he will be remembered by a son, Devetus Campbell, of South Carolina; four grandchildren, LaDawn, Antonio Jr., both of Greensboro, Quallyc and Ariana, of South Carolina; three sisters, Evangelist Cynthia (Frankie) Page, Flora Graves, both of High Point, and Sabrina (James) Waters of Winston Salem; seven brothers, Charles Howze, Bishop Richard (Barbara) Howze, both of High Point, Sherman (Tonya) Howze of Greensboro, James Howze, of Virginia, Micheal McNeil, Adam McNeil, and Curtis McNeil, all of High Point; and a special niece, Lakesha Howze, of the home. Uncle Curtis leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends to carry on his memories.
