Mr. Crofford Johnson III, 64, passed away at his residence on Sunday, April 3, 2016.Crofford Johnson III, the son of the late Crofford Johnson Jr. and Evelyn Covington Johnson was born on July 18, 1951 in Rockingham, NC.

Crofford Johnson III known by many as "Jett" graduated from William Penn High School in High Point, NC in 1969, "Jett" served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force from 1970-1975. He was employed as an contractor of various jobs until his health started to decline.

Jett attended the Church of God of Prophecy in High Point, NC under the leadership of Bishop Floyd Collins.

He had a love for playing cards, watching his favorite football teams, The Chicago Bears and The Carolina Panthers he was always the life of the party and was the center of attention.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved brother Donald "Donnie" Johnson.

Those left to cherish fond memories include his two sons; Justin D. Williams (Jenitta Grace) of High Point, NC and Crofford Johnson IV. Three grandchildren, Justin Jr., Janasia and Laconstance all of High Point, NC. One sister; Brenda J. Johnson of Philadelphia, PA, Three aunts; Hemena Bostick-Williams of Fayetteville, NC; Ida M. Covington of High Point, NC and Annie Covington of Atlanta, GA, Two nieces; Sharonda Johnson-Robertson of Philadelphia, PA, and Jocelyn Fisher of Rockingham, NC, One nephew, Donald :Travis" Johnson of Winston Salem, NC, two special cousins; Joyce A Adams of Rockingham, NC and James "Jimmy" Robinson of Charlotte, NC and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and other cherish family and friends among those special friends includes, Rosa M. Williams and Rasaan Smith.
