Christopher Murphy

Christopher Dwayne Murphy, 42, of High Point, NC, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011. He was born October 26, 1968, to Rudolph Clinton Murphy and Carolyn Gibson Murphy. Christohper known as "Chris" was a native of High Point, NC for most of his life.

He was a graduate from Cardoza High School in Washington, DC. He graduated from Trinity College University and obtained a bachelor's degree of science and a major in business administration.

Chris was a very kind, joyous, fun and loving person who will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. Chris enjoyed bowling and playing chess. He also enjoyed traveling. He never met any strangers and helped many.

he was employed with UPS Services since 1997.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Chris leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife ad devoted spouse, Lisa Carter of the home, his children, Carletta Beale, Christopher Murphy Jr., Tra'Shelle Carter, Chrystal Murphy and Chrispen Murphy all of the home, his mother, Carolyn Gibson Murphy of High Point, NC, his father, Rudolph (Patricia) Murphy of High Point, NC, five brothers, Tony Murphy of Washington, DC, Eric (Tina) Murphy of Fort Washington, MD, Kevin (Toya) Murphy, Bernard Murphy and Ray "J.J." Spears all of High Point, NC, one sister, Katrenda Murphy of High Point, NC,  one granddaughter, Kyara; his special grandmother, Ida LeGrande of High Point, NC, a special great aunt, Harriet Gibson Parratt of Laurel Hill, NC, two sisters-in-laws, Lashawn (Kenny) Farley and Kesha Carter all of High Point, a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends, although not mentioned where a very special part of his life.
