Christopher Barnes

Christopher Barnes was born on September 20, 1982, to John Barnes and Stella Horne in Baltimore, MD. He was called to his heavenly home with the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2022, at the age of 40. “Chris,” as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was educated in the Baltimore City and County Schools. Chris loved all sports, and he was an avid basketball and football player for Woodlawn High School. He was employed by the division of the blind and Bojangles restaurant where he worked until his passing. Throughout his years he enjoyed cooking and dancing. One of his favorite dishes of all times was his special lasagna. Chris’s passion was spending endless time with his daughter, Faith. They enjoyed going to the movies, playing video games, dining out, and having countless fun and laughter at the amusement parks. He was preceded in death by his loving dad, John Barnes; brother, Carl Barnes; and sister, Colleen Barnes. Chris will be sincerely missed by all who knew him. Chris is survived by his devoted mother, Stella Horne; loving daughter, Faith Janae Barnes; brothers, Dewayne (Laverne) Baldwin and Robert Baldwin; one sister, Monica Barnes; special nieces, Diaire, Aleshia, and Verne Horne; three special friends who were like brothers, Brian Horne, Sha Baldwin, and Brandon Rudd, in addition to Tia Payne, Sucola Ledbetter, and Gwen; another very special friend to Chris was Jermaine Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
