Christine Battle

Christine Tillery Battle, 68 years young, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at High Point Regional Hospital after a very brief illness. “Battle” as she was called was born in Edgecombe County, NC on July 21, 1946 to Luther Tillery and Beatrice Daniels. She relocated to High Point where she resided most of her life. Battle worked in the Furniture Industry until her health declined. She was a faithful member of Pearson AME Church. She enjoyed sharing time with people, fishing, playing bingo and cards with her sisters. She leaves cherished memories to her loving partner for life, Willie Little of the home; her wonderful son, Michael (Eileen) Tillery of Clemmons, NC; two beautiful daughters, Vicky Pemberton and Jackie Gordon both of High Point; her twelve much loved grandchildren; her unforgettable sisters, Bernice Lyons of Battleboro, NC, Francis Hawkins of Washington, DC and Shirley (Minister Bobby) Sawyer of High Point; a beloved daughter-in-law, Janice Washington Tillery of High Point; also a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
