Charlotte Hairston

Mrs. Charlotte Denise Hairston, age 57, of High Point, NC departed her earthly home on February 26, 2018 at High Point Regional Hospital.

Charlotte was born February 21, 1961 in High Point, NC to the late Douglas Smith and Dorothy Stevenson.

A resident of High Point all of her life, Charlotte was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She was last employed at Evergreens Senior Healthcare until her health began to decline.  Charlotte enjoyed reading books, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents Charlotte was preceded in death by her step father, Albert Stevenson, her step mother, Essie Smith, her sisters, Joann Aiken and Sylvia McEachin and one brother, Donovan Smith.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Samuel R. Hairston, Jr. of the home, one son, Samuel L. (Keiba) Hairston Sr., two daughters, Teneka (Nicholas) Allen and Shiquita Hairston all of High Point.  Five brothers, Michael Douglas of Charleston, SC, Mitchell (Pearl) Smith of South Boston, VA, Douglas (Mary) Smith of High Point, Bobby (Dana) Smith of Greensboro, NC and Douglas Morgan of Charlottesville, VA, five sisters, Norma Mitchell of High Point, Tammy (Charles) Gilchrist of Jamestown, NC, Celeste Morgan, Keyshia Hairston and Laurie Hairston all of Washington, D.C., her step grandmother Eunice Ezekiel Smith, eleven grandchildren, and a host of in laws, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces and friends.
