On Saturday the 27th of February, Charlie Dye 82, peacefully passed away after a long hard fought battle with cancer. He was home where he wanted to be. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran and proud of it. Charlie was the business owner of Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery and Piedmont Memorial Park. He is survived by longtime wife, Michele Dye; son, Chase Dye and daughter, Chelsea Dye that all reside at the residence. Also surviving are son, Clay Dye Jr. and his fiance’ Leigh Buie; followed by daughter, Donna Simpson and husband, Bob Simpson, two grandchildren, Bobby Simpson, wife Cassie Simpson and Heather Simpson; great-grandson, Cole; two sisters, Wilma Holt and longtime husband Ernest Holt and Marie Giofridda. He had many nieces and nephews. We will all miss him greatly, but we know he is now no longer suffering.
