Carrie Jean McLaughlin Wright was born December 27, 1948, in Bennettsville, Sc to parents, Jesse Alford Graham and Mary Easter Wheeler.
Carrie graduated from Gordon High School and later married the love of her life Marvin Wright. They started their life in Bennettsville, SC and later moved to high Point, NC. She worked at various customer service companies and had an entrepreneurial spirit, leading to opening her first soul food restaurant, Wright's Delight. After having her taxes filed incorrectly by someone, she wanted to learn how to prepare tax returns. Once she became an expert in the tax industry, Carrie's Tax Service was born. She filed her first paper tax return by hand for family first and her clientele began to grow like none other. Which is still thriving today with over 3,000 clients, not only was it Carrie's Tax Services but it was other tax businesses birthed through her. She touched many live serving clients near and far with her gifted knowledge and expertise in taxes, years later she opened her own grocery store in Clio, SC., Fashion by Jaz Consignment in Dillon, SC and invested into her brother-in-law dream, she became part owner of People's Funeral Services.
Carrie was full of life and lived life to the fullest. She was an encourager and brought light to the world. She enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos. She has a spontaneous spirit, she was the epitome of good company and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She never met a stranger and has a giving spirit. She was a GIVER and would help anyone in need. Resilient than most, honest to the core, outspoken and told it like it is. Carrie gave us what is needed more in this world which is tough talks, LOVE, fun and ENDLESS memories.
