Mr. Buddy Junior Johnson of Trinity, North Carolina, better known to family and friends as “Buck Wheat” or “Peedy Weedy Straw,” was born in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, on December 15, 1960, to Mrs. Annie Lou Johnson and Mr. Duffie Lee Alexander. He graduated from Woodruff public schools in South Carolina. He later enlisted into the United States Army where he worked as an Artillery Specialist. Buck was preceded in death by his parents, Mrs. Annie Lou Johnson and Mr. Duffie Lee Alexander; son, Buddy Cross; and sister, Ann Scott. He leaves to cherish his fond memories: his two daughters, Tycie and Peaches Hill; four grandchildren, Michael Hill, Patrick Conner, Padraic Hill, and Si Yanna Hill; seven brothers, Pastor Willie Anthony Douglas of the home, Thomas James Johnson, Tony Alexander, Duffy Alexander, Earl Scott, Tommy Scott, all of Woodruff, SC, and Homer Lee Scott of Greer, SC; three sisters, Kathy Alexander Southern of Reidsville, SC, Billie Ann Scott of Simpsonville, SC, and Patsy D Scott of Fountain, SC; special brothers, Curtis Monroe, Richard Monroe, Jerome Monroe, Tyrone Monroe and Robert Douglas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephew.
