Bernice Cain, 70 of High Point transitioned to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Shannon Gray Rehabiltation. She was born on May 25, 1945 in Braddock, PA to the late John and Hattie Elizabeth Paige.
Bernice attended the public schools in Dillon, SC. She was employed at Cambridge Filter Inc. in Liverpool, NY for over 20 years. She was united in marriage to Willie C. Cain, Sr. of High Point; to this union five children were born.
Mother Cain was a faithful member of the Body of Christ and attended Tree of Life of Life Christian Center in Greensboro. She loved to bowl and her talent caused her team to be champions in a bowling league in Syracuse, NY. She loved her children, grandchildren and everyone with whom she came in contact. Although she was a biological mother to five, she was a loving mother to many.
Mother Cain was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Veronica Paige; two brothers, Andrew Paige and William Paige; two sisters, Gladys Spencer and Mary Taylor.
Mother Cain leaves to carry out her legacy three sons, Willie Cain Jr., Prince (Belinda) Cain all of Dillon, SC and Alexander Cain of High Point; one daughter, Tressa Cain McBride of High Point; two brothers, John Calvin Paige Jr. of San Bernadino, CA and James Paige of Moreno Valley, CA; two sisters, Hattie (Albert) Brown of Victorville, CA and Rene Short of McKeesfort, PA; 21 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and her devoted church family.
