Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Smith entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 27th, 2018. She was born on October 29th, 1940 to the late Calvin Parker and Elizabeth Thompson. A lifetime resident of High Point, NC, Anna attended William Penn High School. She was employed in the furniture industry for many years and retired from Royal Development. She was married to her true love, Nathaniel Smith, for 47 years, although they have been together for 53 years. To this union, four children were born.
Anna was a loving wife, mother, and friend to all that knew her. She spent her lifetime always helping others. She was a true friend and never met a stranger in life. Anna would give anyone her last without any regard as to how it may affect her. She was a true pillar of strength. She battled cancer valiantly for six years despite the twelve – eighteen month medical diagnosis. She made it clear that God’s will and plan was far greater than mans predictions. Even through her personal trials, her concern was for the well-being of others. She carried herself with a strength, grace, and dignity that was awe inspiring.
She was proceeded in death by her son, Kenneth Smith; six sisters and five brothers.
She is survived by her husband and soulmate, Nathaniel Smith; her children, Nathaniel W. Smith, Brian (Chimesa) Smith, and Alma Smith; her extended family three step daughters, Debra (William) Jones, Evelyn Smith and Iris Acker; two adopted sons; Richard Franklin and Michael Foster; two brothers William Thompson and Randolph Parker; one sister, Doris Parker; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members.
